Wanting to be scared, as if I was an eight year old kid again going trick or treating by himself in the dark. I anxiously waited to go see this movie! I grab my tub of popcorn, sip my drink, kick back, and relax as Rogue Pictures tries to scare me.
I have been waiting for a movie to scare me! I just can't seem to find one that will do the job. Which is I went to go see "The Strangers". When I first laid eyes on the trailer, I knew I had hope for a movie that can still scare me. Sadly, it failed just like the rest of them.
The movie started off really slow. You had to put peice by peice together to get what was going on at the time. In the beginning, I caught myself day dreaming from how slow the beginning really is. It then finally started to pick up (Well for other people in the theatre atleast). The majority of the people in the theatre screamed as the masked man (which was show in the trailer and even the freakin movie poster as well) wall in behind the woman from a dark room. I just don't see how one can find that so scary that it can actually make people jump even thought you've seen it advertised on the movie trailer and the poster itself? I found myself actually laughing inside on how these masked people were scaring her and how my brother and I use to do that to our mom when we were kids.
I really wanted to go see a movie that can actually scare me! The only reason why this movie seemed to be scary to others and I believe is because it did have a good amount of "Jump, pop-up scenes". Which shouldn't make a scary movie. I will admit, I did jump one time during the movie. Actually it was at the very end of the movie before the credits roller, and that is only because it caught me off guard. Thinking that this was going to be one of those stupid movies with a dumb ending. The only thing really scary about this movie is that is was based on actual events. It would scare the shit out of me to if masked people were playing with my mind trying to kill me. For what it was, I was entertained. This movie can be scary for others, but not a good scary movie for fans like myself in need of a REALLY scary movie.

****S POILER!****

Here's what I don't get though? In the beginning, they say that this movie was based on true events? Yet at the end of the movie, they make it out that they're going to make a sequel to it. I think the whole movie was true, and then they just made their own little ending forcing people to think that there will be a sequel. I got this information from the ending where the 3 masked people (now unmasked - but faces were never shown) driving from the summer home as stopping two christian school kids walking with their bikes. They creep the kids out, and then just drive on. As one of the masked people say "Next time, it'll be easier". Thinking that was the ending, which it wasn't. The kids then find this summer home where the violent crime took place and see the woman lying on the floor assuming to be dead. As the boys arm reaches for her (assuming to check her pulse? I don't know what he was doing? Do people usually touch assumed dead ones with blood all over her face?) And then the woman grabs the boys arm and screams..... credits roll. Sequel?

This movie was the worst movie ever, it doesn't even deserve one star. There was no plot or story. It was boring, i wasn't scared or on the edge of my seat. I am still very confused that people actually enjoyed this movie! The home camera thing made me sick from all the shaking, it was just completely stupid all around. Definitely not worth seeing, no question about it.

Amazing film - I had thought that this film was just gonna be another Moulin Rouge, & it was in a way, but the concepts & visual effects were amazing & I soon forgot all my pre-conceived notions... Fantastic storyline, amazing cast (pretty & talented, yes it's really them singing) - some were known, some were new & some we've always seen (special appearances by Joe Cocker, Bono, Selma Hayak & Eddie Izzard - Try & spot them) Whether you're a die-hard Beatles fan or not, you'll have all these songs stuck in your head by film's end, or be like me, desperate for the soundtrack!! G O SEE IT!! The Walrus would want you to...

it's about 2 friends seth and evan. They get invited to a party and offer to supply the booze. Then they talk to fogel a nervous nerd with a fake id that says mclovin.
They need him to get the booze for the girls at the party.
with hilarious results.
I flat out laughed my ass off the entire time.
Superbad is a comedic masterpiece

not Daniel Craig's finest work - even playing the cliched role of 007, he's infinitely better than this 1-dimensional effort

about the kindest thing that can be said about Ms Kidman is that it's getting harder and harder to tell she has an Australian accent

not that this is their fault - this film just seems poorly constructed, with a basic connect-the-dot s plodding progression towards a finale which is ultimately so much less than the original Body Snatchers...

The Bourne Ultimatum is the best action movie to come out this year. With a gripping storyline, and action scenes giving you that "tensed up" feeling, it is definitely a must see movie.

Just like a great Simpson's episode but longer and with more sight gags in the background. Writing is on par with the best of the Simpson's and the pacing is good for its length. Doesn't get a perfect score because it does not rise above a great TV episode.

Seeing that I've only seen 2-3 episodes of the show and it's been on for close to 20 years, I think 4 stars is pretty good. It would have been nothing had it not been for Spiderpig. :)
